Creativity Refresh: Exploring Logan Square
After a long and emotional week, I decided very little of my time would be spent on a computer. I needed a break. Yes, I have quite a few side projects and clients right now, but it is getting to the point where I have SO much to do that I can’t get anything done because I want to do everything at once. I decided that this weekend I would take it easy and just rest.
Jeremy and I went on a mini adventure to Logan Square this weekend. It’s only one stop over on the blue line from us, but the neighborhood is quite different from ours. Right as we got off the bus, we came upon a little farmers market. Not only did they have some great looking veggies, but they had hand made bread, meats, and snow cones. After finishing off a snow cone, we walked down Milwaukee a ways and found Revolution Brewing. One thing I have come to really love about Chicago menu’s is that some of them have pretzels in their appetizer section, something I had never seen in California. The pretzel was homemade and so delicious, pairing really nicely with the hot mustard and smokey cheese sauce. We decided to try the Giardinera pizza, mainly because of the pork belly topping. It sounded awesome. I thought it was pretty tasty, and looked really pretty. We will definitely be back here again. After that Jeremy still had homework to do, so we headed back home. I spent the rest of the day diving into the 4th book of the Game of Thrones Series. After several naps and doing some reading, I feel refreshed. I still have so much work to do, but I feel like I can now organize my thoughts a little better.
